In October 2024, Mosaic LGBT+ Young Person’s Trust joined up with Publica CIC to explore feelings of safety and belonging with our young persons’ club members at our centre in Camden.
Using the four creative techniques of Street Tagging, Collective Mapping, Model Making and Manifesto Writing, our LGBT+ young persons explored what (and where) feels safe, accessible, and inclusive in the area, and laid out their vision for a Camden where all young persons are free to be their true, unfiltered selves.
You can read the full project report here.
You can watch our young persons present their manifesto below!
Publica is an urban design and public realm practice, bringing research and intelligence to urban change. You can find out more about the wonderful work they do at their website here.
Mosaic has helped me find the difference between how I truly feel and how someone wants me to feel. I don’t always have to change myself to fit someone else’s agenda or what they expect me to feel.

Going to Mosaic gave me more confidence. Being around so many people who were openly Queer really helped.
– Mimi
Mosaic has allowed me to gain so much confidence in myself. They’ve helped me through struggles not just with advice but with action. It’s allowed me to meet others like me and make me feel like any other teen.
