Madi Pollard

Hi, I’m Madi! I’ve had the pleasure of working with young people since 2013, predominately in careers, and the transition from High School to Higher Education. Growing up as a queer teenager in a religious household was tough, and I often found it difficult to be myself, or to recognise anyone that was like me. I am thrilled to be a trustee for Mosaic, as I feel that a safe space where young queer people can be comfortable and safe in expressing their true self is an incredibly valuable, and essential service.
I work at Girlguiding as an IT Business Analyst. This means that I spend most of my time working with digital projects and systems to create a smoother, better or more entertaining experience for our young members and volunteers. I’m also the Co-Chair of our staff Pride Network, which allows me to constructively challenge the organisation to look at our policies and processes, to ensure that they are inclusive for everyone. I am passionate about inclusivity, and particular on areas where intersectional identities can raise additional challenges.
Outside of work, I offer career coaching, strategy support and web design. When I’m not doing that, I’m usually reading one of the 1200 books in my flat, or trying to convince myself that I enjoy running.
